A Threshold is a doorway. It's also a new beginning, or a transition point.
Threshold is a word of invitation: Come in, the door is open. A new beginning is available. Change is a real possibility. This is an invitation from God himself, in the person of Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus once said, "I am the door. Those who come in through Me will be saved."
A doorway, a new beginning, a transition point. All three are descriptions of the spiritual life. Wherever you are in your journey there is always another threshold ahead. The invitation to cross it is open.
