First Time?

Welcome to Threshold!

Threshold is a community of people who exist to love God and love others. We are not flawless, and that's okay because we love and serve a God who already knows all about us and loves us just as we are. Threshold is a place for you to come, just as you are. Don't wait until you have reached some measure of "okayness" but come now. If this appeals to you, keep reading...

We meet on Sunday mornings at 10, in the Siskey YMCA. The entrance we use is located on the McKee Road side of the Y. When you drive up, you'll see a large Threshold sign over the door. We worship in the gym, located down a short hall from that entrance. Dress is casual - jeans/shorts are fine. We really just want you to feel comfortable, so what you wear is not important.

We have coffee/tea in the cafe, located in the gym. Please, help yourself. Feel free to wander around - talk to people, enjoy art in the cafe, or go find a chair. Once the music starts, that's the cue for everyone to head for the chairs. Stand or stay seated during the music, whichever feels right.

Jeff is an engaging communicator who is open and honest about his own relationship with God. His talks are more like a conversation than a lecture. [You can go to the Talks page on this site and listen to talks online, or you can podcast the talks.] We are usually done around 11:15 or so.

Middle and High School Youth meet on Sunday nights at the Y. On Sunday mornings you will find them working alongside adults setting up for worship, assisting with younger children, in our tech crews and in worship bands.

If you have younger children, then you will want to know that we have gifted, loving teachers to care for them while you are worshiping. [Teachers for younger and older kids alike, have been interviewed individually and checked out by an independent agency.]

Your child's safety and your peace of mind is important to us.

As soon as you enter the Y you will see the check-in station for children. Your child will be given a nametag with a number on it. You will receive a tag with that same number on it. If we happen to need you during the service, you will see that number on the screen. This number is also how we ensure that your child is picked up by you only.

Please, let us know when you check your child in if he/she has any special needs. We so want their experience at Threshold to be a happy one!

If you have any other questions or concerns, you can email us at or if you prefer talking to someone, you may phone us at 704.578.6554.

We are here to love and serve you in any way we can.
